The Introduction

This is actually the Stanford InfoLab’s patented structure that is five-point Introductions. Unless there’s a great argument against it, the Introduction should consist of five paragraphs answering the next five concerns:

1. What’s the issue?
2. Exactly why is it intriguing and crucial?
3. Exactly why is it difficult? (E.g., how come naive approaches fail?)
4. Why has not it been resolved prior to? (Or, what is incorrect with previous proposed solutions? How exactly does mine vary?)
5. Which are the key aspects of my approach and outcomes? likewise incorporate any limitations that are specific.

(Workout: Answer these concerns for the multiway kind example.)

Then have paragraph that is final subsection: “Overview of Contributions”. It must record the contributions that are major bullet type, mentioning in which parts they could be discovered. This material increases as a plan associated with other countries in the paper, saving area and eliminating redundancy.

Related Work

End, if it could be summarized quickly in the beginning (when you look at the Introduction or Preliminaries), or if perhaps enough evaluations require the content that is technical of paper.
